The Journal of New Approaches in Educational Research invites submissions (original research articles) for a Special Issue on the very relevant and topical theme of AR, VR and XR in training. All individual articles can be submitted on a running basis and will be reviewed individually and will be subject to a double-blind peer review (reviewers will be notified that an article is part of a broader Special Issue). Important to note: Article publication will be continuous, i.e. articles are published into the Special Issue one at  a time as soon as they are ready. Submissions are open! First articles out in July 2024.

Topics may include but are not limited to:

  • Principles for the design of learning objects in AR, VR and XR.
  • Technologies used for the incorporation of AR, VR and XR in training: possibilities and difficulties they incorporate.
  • Degree of acceptance of AR, VR and XR by teachers and students.
  • Anxiety and cognitive load in the use of AR, VR and XR. - Use of AR, VR and XR in different subject areas.
  • Experiences of teacher training in the development of digital competences for the incorporation of AR, VR and XR.
